Start with the Drivetrain
One of the easiest ways to regain performance is by looking at your sprocket and chain.
Even the most durable sprockets eventually wear. As the teeth become rounded and lose their ideal profile, efficiency drops and power transfer suffers. It's something that happens gradually, making it easy to overlook.
The same goes for your chain.
Two-stroke racers often replace chains regularly, but in four-stroke racing it's common to run the same chain for a long time. Even in lower horsepower classes, chains stretch over time. A stretched chain not only reduces efficiency but can also increase wear on other drivetrain components.
